-Vigil's Keep-
The high stone walls of the keep loom in the distance as the cloaked figure rides towards the main gate, the hot Ferelden sun peaking out from behind the dark grey clouds. The shafts of light illuminate a pair of knights clad in gleaming silver armor, guarding the portcullis. The knights draw their swords as the rider stops a good twenty feet before them, dismounting in one smooth, fluid motion. The knight on the right holds out a gauntleted hand, "Hold stranger, identify yourself."
A quiet giggle comes from beneath the hood, "I'm here to see your commander."
"No one enters the keep without orders from the captain."
The stranger pulls back the hood revealing the face of a gorgeous young woman, her long red hair pulled back in a tight ponytail, a wry smile on her dark red lips. "Come now. Surely you can make an exception for little old me?"
"I'm sorry. No exceptions ma'a

The willowy form of Admiral Tali'Zorah materializes beside him, a worried expression on her beautiful face. While on Rannoch, she is free from the confines of her enviro-suit, so she wears a long flowing dress of white and green. Kal tears his gaze from the hologram back to the ship before him. "You know, being all serious doesn't suit you Admiral."
"Kal. I can't help but be worried."
"Don't be, Cassandra can take care of herself. She's old enough to make her own choices, and she chose Ayrene."
"Remind me to have words with her."
He chuckles quietly, "Of course dear."
"What are you looking at?"

A glint catches her eye, causing her to look up. What she sees brings a smile to her face. The sergeant motions to one of the soldiers, "Restraints, now."
The soldier holsters his weapon and he brings out a set of black cuffs. Elle gives him a smile and puts her hands out for him, "Don't worry, I don't bite."
He leans in and in a low whisper mutters, "I know that Elle. Get ready to fight."

This Father's Day two-parter was one of my absolute favorites to write, showing Miranda in a much different light than was shown in Mass Effect 2 and 3. I view her as being an amazing aunt to the girls, adoring each of them.

Miranda looks down at the young asari holding her hand. "We're going to have a little fun today. You ready?"

Ayrene nods, a big grin plastered on her face. She sees the car that Miranda drove up in. A sleek, black convertible with silver trim rests in the driveway. Miranda buckles Ayrene into the passenger seat, before getting in. A push of a button and the engine roars to life. Miranda looks over at Ayrene, one corner of her mouth turning upwards into a sly smile. "Let's make your mother worry some. Hang on, sweetie."

The kitchen of the Shepard house is alive with streaks of blue and white. Miranda leans against the counter, mixing bowl in hand, vigorously stirring a mass of chocolate chip pancake batter. She watches the other girls carefully, making sure they're not doing something dangerous. Oriana mans the stove top, several pans already giving off the wonderful sounds of sizzling and popping. Rinyn stands on a step-stool next to Ori, handing Oriana the next pieces of bacon. "How's it coming Ori?"

Her sister gives her a smile over her shoulder. "Rin and I got this under control. Elle? You got those eggs?"

Just a thought I had: Liara can't be any older than 125, right? Why does she need glasses in order to read? She shouldn't need glasses until she is at least in the range of 700 or 800.

I know lots of kids that require glasses, they also make scratch resis for ones too young to take care of'em, and Li just did too much work young, but then again anyone could need'em.

Baby has fallen into the mixing bowl, I repeat we have a baby asari dressed as a krogan in a mxing bowel. It's so sweet it will give you Diabetes , approach with caution. lol
